I didn't have to work today, and it was raining. I didn't go to the studio where all my pastels are, so I tried to watercolor again after about 3 years. I was never any good because I can't keep my hands out of the paint and end up making mud. But today, I decided to try it again. This is a painting of the photograph below. It's OK, not very good, but I had a good time painting it. I think I'll keep practicing and try to be patient while letting the paint dry, and maybe I'll get better. I really like the wet-on-wet technique. It's the negative painting that's so difficult for me.

Now I have to do something responsible like think about dinner.

I have never been good at watercolors. I like my oils, and love my acrylics. I always like the ‘feeling’ of watercolors paintings.
